This is for you

Fri Sep 19, 2008, 11:52 AM
Each day you wake up.

I'm there.

The second you open your eyes.

I'm ready to move with you.

The moment you're surrounded.

I cling tighter to you.

My love for you is closer.

Than anyone else's could be.

I'm waiting for you.

To call My name.

and give your love to Me.

How I long to hear your voice.

To hear you call My name.

Every minute, everyday, everywhere.

I'll be there, waiting for you.

And I'll wait forever if I have to.

I'm ready for all your smiles and laughs.

I'm ready for all your tears.

I'm ready to grab you through the storms.

and hold you til it clears.

I'm ready for all your anger,

All your disappointment and cares.

Give it all to Me.

All your heart's despair.

I died for you.

I rose for you.

I love you.

I want you.

I need you.

I'm holding out My hand to you.

Take it and I'll pull you close.

And show you the reason for this life.

'Cause I'm in love with you,

My beloved wife.

I dearly hope that you are young and intelligent enough so finally realize that religion is the worst invention man ever made.

You're right. Religion is the worst invention man ever made. That's why I love Jesus.

I respect your beliefs, but I don't want you to be deceived. I'm not a religious person. Jesus never taught to have a religion. He just said to love and obey Him and to love others. Religion was man's idea, unfortunately. But I'm a real person walking with a real God. I don't support any kind of violence, and I'm not a hypocrite.

I'm just a real person walking with a real God and letting Him live through me. Because that's what He wanted, was to be real with me. That's why He died on the cross and rose again.

But I want you to know that I was once like you...I hated religion. The only thing that kept me going was Jesus because He was serious about His relationship with me and He wanted to be with me; hence why He died on the cross for me.

Thank you for your concern...just wanted to make sure you know that I'm not one of those people. I do what the Bible says to do. I'm a follower of Christ, not a follower of religion.

so how are you today? :neom:

At that time you were without Christ, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Well, at least you seem a thinking person although i can´t understand this Jesus thingy. He talks to you? OMFG do not say aloud that you hear voices or they´ll stick you in the dock :-)

As far as i know Jesus himself referred to this God person by claiming to be his son (what a nonsense btw). So how do you manage to sort that out?

Yeah He talks to me but He hasn't talked in an audible voice to me before (He can do that too though, He's talked to people I know in that way before) but He speaks to me in my spirit. It's that pricking in your heart of conviction, or of the need to do something or say something; that "still small voice."

And yes Jesus did say He was the son of God, and that He was the Son of God; God in the flesh. It's nonsense to some, but it takes faith. You either believe Jesus was a complete lunatic or that He was really who He said He was. Again it's something you believe, but I've had tangible experiences with God. (knocked down by His presence, money showing up in my purse from nowhere, my spine straightening after being prayed over for healing) My friend's leg grew out miraculously..one of her leg was inches shorter than the other, but grew out during a youth service at my church. Of course that's not why I believe there is a God, and that's not how God wants us to be convinced; I believe He's real because of what He said in His Word.
It actually takes more faith not to believe than to believe.

Again I respect your beliefs and I in no way want to force my God on you, that's your choice, but I just want you to at least know the real God instead of getting a really bad vibe from religion and I'm sure that's what you wanted too.

good day to ya. =]

You said:"[...] He speaks to me in my spirit. It's that pricking in your heart of conviction, or of the need to do something or say something; that "still small voice." "

Okay, you call it god and i might call it intuition or something like this. But why should i have faith when i can have proof?
I think Jesus was neither a Lunatic nor the son of a god. He is just someone people read into what they wanted and what was useful. 2,000 years long.
During the last 200 years (thanks to the age of enlightenment) a more and more liberal and 'modern' Jesus came into vogue.
Well, miracles use to be miracles because they are miraculous - unprovable. We leave that out.

Why does not to believe need more faith than to believe? This is logical absurdity.
Sorry, but i do not have any beliefs. I have wee proof of a possible rational explanation for 'life, the universe and everything'. And according to Ockham´s razor wee proof is better than any form of belief. With or without grown out legs. What I do not believe at all by the way. I do believe that you believe in all these 'miracles', but this makes it a little bit difficult for me to be reasonable.
Funny that you speak of 'your' god. So there are different ones? But the only real one is your god? What if i´d say 'mine is better' Wouldn´t lead to anything wise, would it? We could claim that `til eternity without a result.

And you said that there is a major difference between religion and a god. Interesting. On what side do i find the clergy?

Just one thing i would really like to know: Why do i need a god? Why does anybody need a god? What is it good for?

I am really lookig forward to your answer.
